Pointing Lab Pups for Sale
This is a repeat breeding of our stud Elvis and our dam Coco. Our goal is to find the best bloodlines and produce some of the best pointing lab puppies in the country.
The current litter whelped on August 13, 2018. They will be 8 weeks old on Monday October 8, 2018.
These will be exceptional hunting dogs, below is a little story about one of the pups from their last breeding.
I am not a trainer but do know what trainers are looking for in an outstanding pup. I have always thought that if I could just get a pup into the right hands, someone who would get it trained then I could confirm that I was indeed producing champion puppies, out of our Elvis / Coco breeding, and I did just that.
At 11 months old Travis Litchfield sent Zu-lu, one of our black females, to Justin Jackson of Texoma Retrievers for training. After 6 months of training I hear that she’s going for her master hunter’s certification. Most trainers have told me when I was considering having a pup trained that it usually takes one to one-and-a-half-year training period to get to that point! Either the pup is that exceptional or the trainer, I’d say a little of both.
Update: When Travis asked to pick Zu-lu up when she reached her Master Hunter training level, Justin requested to use her on his guided hunts this season.
